GridWatch is the real-time operations platform for distributed energy operators. Live telemetry, automated demand response, and grid anomaly detection — across every asset, from one platform.
Solutions
Distributed energy is complex by nature. GridWatch gives every operator type the real-time visibility and automated control their assets demand.
Stop losing revenue to manual switching and reactive control. GridWatch gives you automated, event-driven orchestration across your entire asset portfolio — battery dispatch, solar curtailment avoidance, and islanding transitions handled in milliseconds.
For microgrid operators →Data centers, manufacturers, and campuses with on-site generation face demand charge risk every day. GridWatch automates peak shaving and demand response against live utility pricing signals — without operator intervention.
For C&I operators →Fleet depot operators need smart charging that doesn't blow transformer capacity or miss departure windows. GridWatch schedules and dynamically rebalances charge across dozens of EVSEs against real-time grid constraints.
For fleet operators →Platform
GridWatch replaces fragmented SCADA polling with a unified real-time architecture. Every device streams live data. Every control system acts on it instantly. The platform handles delivery guarantees, ordering, and replay.
Every asset streams live data to the platform the moment state changes. No polling, no batch jobs — updates propagate across your entire portfolio in under 5ms.
Configure response logic once. GridWatch executes shed-load, charge-shift, and curtailment commands automatically when pricing or grid conditions cross defined thresholds.
Solar inverters, battery BMS, EV chargers, and smart meters speak dozens of protocols. GridWatch edge adapters normalize them into a single unified data stream.
Surge events, equipment faults, and cold-chain exceedances trigger operator alerts and automated protective actions — before issues cascade into outages or revenue loss.
Automated compliance exports for IESO, NEB, and utility interconnection programs. Audit trails and metering data always ready.
On-premise substations, regional control rooms, and cloud analytics layers all connect to the same platform. No VPN, no topology lock-in.
How It Works
GridWatch is deployed at the edge and in the cloud simultaneously. Most operators are live within days, not months.
A GridWatch edge adapter installs at your site. Solar, storage, EVSE, and metering devices begin streaming telemetry immediately over standard or native protocols.
Telemetry routes through the GridWatch platform. Multi-site deployments sync automatically — no manual peering, no VPN.
Stream processors check every event against your configured rules: utility pricing signals, safety thresholds, curtailment limits, and demand targets.
Control commands dispatch back to assets. Dashboards update live. Alerts notify operators. Compliance records write automatically.
About
GridWatch was founded in 2026. Our founding team comes from U.S. government service — specifically from roles focused on the security and resilience of industrial control systems and operational technology networks. We spent years on the offensive and defensive sides of ICS and IoT infrastructure: understanding how these systems fail, how they are exploited, and what it takes to keep them running under adversarial conditions.
That background shapes everything we build. Most energy software is designed for the normal case. GridWatch is designed for the edge cases — the anomalous event, the cascading fault, the millisecond window where automated response is the only response fast enough to matter.
SCADA systems poll on 2-second cycles. Demand response programs rely on day-ahead signals. EV charging software has no awareness of the battery dispatch happening 200 meters away. The grid is getting faster, more distributed, and more exposed — the software running it isn't keeping up.
GridWatch is the real-time intelligence layer the modern grid is missing. We are currently in build mode, working directly with our first operator partners in Ontario. GridWatch launches publicly in late 2026. If you want to be part of the first cohort, reach out.
Security-first by background, not by checkbox.
GridWatch's founders bring direct experience from U.S. government roles in IoT and OT security — including offensive research, critical infrastructure protection, and industrial control system resilience. That expertise is embedded in the platform architecture, not bolted on after the fact.
GridWatch is invite-only through 2026. We are onboarding a select group of operators ahead of public launch. Contact us to learn if your deployment qualifies for early access.
